Cookie Policy

This policy explains what we store on your device, why, and how you control it. It applies to euinstitutions.eu, id.euinstitutions.eu, signal-app.thyreon.eu and every other service we operate on the same platform. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally.

1. What we mean by cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device so it can recognise it later. We use the word here to cover everything that works that way (cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies) because the rules and your choices are the same for all of them.

2. The short version

• Strictly necessary cookies make the site work. They are always on, and consent is not required for them.
• We are introducing Google Analytics, and it will run only if you agree. It is described in full below so that you know what you are being asked about before you are asked.
• It is not running yet. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookie is set on these sites today, by us or by anyone else.
• Nothing will be set without your answer. When it goes live, the banner asks first, everything optional is off until you turn it on, and refusing costs you nothing.
• You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

3. The categories we use

We do not use cookies to build a profile of you for advertising, and we do not allow third parties to use cookies on our sites for their own advertising purposes.

None of these is set yet. Analytics is not live on these sites. They are listed here so that you can see exactly what agreeing would allow, before you are asked.

Your choice itself is not a cookie. We keep it in your browser's local storage, under seeders_consent_v1, so that we do not have to ask again. It stays until you change it or clear your browser data, and it is never sent to us as a cookie on every request. We list it here because it is something we store on your device, which is what this policy is about, not because it needs your permission. It is what remembers your permission.

Google Analytics is delivered through Google Tag Manager, which is how the tag is installed rather than a separate thing that watches you. Nothing loads through it until you consent.

Google acts as our processor for Google Analytics. Data may be processed outside the EU; our Privacy Policy section 10 explains the safeguards.

5. How we ask, and how to change your answer

The first time you visit, we show you a banner. Nothing optional is set or sent until you answer it. You can accept everything, reject everything, or choose category by category, and rejecting takes exactly as few clicks as accepting.

Your choice is remembered on that browser and device. To change it, use "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Withdrawing is as easy as giving, and takes effect immediately for anything we control.

We will ask again if 6 months pass, or if we introduce a new purpose that your earlier answer did not cover. We will not ask again just because you said no.

6. What we keep about your choice, and why

When you answer the banner we keep a short record of the answer. Not to track you, to be able to show, if we are ever asked, that we had your permission and what exactly you were shown when you gave it.

The record holds the date, which options you chose, how you chose them (accept all, reject all, or your own selection), which version of this policy and of the banner you saw, and an identifier generated in your browser. It also holds your browser's user-agent string.

It does not hold your IP address, in any form. We could have stored a scrambled version and decided not to. It would not help us show that we asked you properly, which is the only reason this record exists, so keeping it would have meant collecting something about you for no purpose it actually serves.

We cannot normally work out who you are from it, and that is deliberate. It also has a consequence worth knowing: if you want to see or challenge your consent record, we will need something that identifies it, and the identifier stored in your browser under seeders_consent_v1 is exactly that. Send it to us at support@seeders.gr and we can find your record. Without it we genuinely cannot.

We keep the record while your choice still applies, and for three years after you change or withdraw it. We do not delete it on request, because it is the evidence that we asked you properly and honoured your answer, deleting it would destroy the proof that we did what you asked.

7. Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Their help pages explain how. Two things to know:

• Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in and will break parts of the service. We cannot work around that.
• Browser settings apply per browser and per device, so a choice made in one place does not follow you to another.

8. Changes

If we add a cookie or a new purpose, we update this policy and, where the new purpose needs your consent, we ask you again before anything is set.
